A infrastructure

The proposal for the new biomedical university is understdood more as a infrastructure than a building. The plot is located in the backside of the campus sharing space with 2 buildings that belong to different ages, shape and materiality. Avoiding competition, the new building appears as a link, a public platform that connects new access, streets and public spaces. Up and down, the program is divided by layers: Labs, classrooms and professor offices.

The green line provides with a new facade to the backside of the plot, a transparent one offering views to the landscape in both sides besides the maximun natural sunlight.

Labs are located in the semiunderground. Labs are like robots-room, full of machines, devices and very specific technical conditions. In general these rooms are always underground but not here, "buried but still alive", new labs have a perimeter that can be use until 2.5mheight and them becomes transparent letting in natural light, view to the top of the trees and the glanze of another students or people how are just passing by.
