We understand the new Children’s house as a shelter, a piece of land that need to be protected and caring. Due the size of the plot, quite bigger comparing with the maximum area for construction we chose a PATIO typology of building to increase the scale and provide with 2 atmospheres: the inner patio and the surroundings. We pursuit the idea of oasis, enclosing a piece of nature. 4 pavilions are built forming a square under the same roof. Sunlight control, tress, plants, water, sunlight, shadows, a porch with benches and a well combined to create a piece of paradise, a place for resting and recovering. With the aim one room – one person we tried to offer a space going from private to public, generating spaces in between where interact trying to keep kind of privacy in the caring process. Consulting and long-term stay share the same facilities avoiding duplicities. 12m2 became the unit of design creating 16 rooms, 8 for long-term stay, 4 consulting and another 4 for administration and storage. The corners are liberated providing with different type of spaces like the entrance, a recreation area and restrooms. A private garden. Why not to add a private garden in each room? a piece of landscape customize that will be used as a natural filter for the sunlight, cooling and provide with smell in the room. This garden is enclosed by a fence made of bamboo as the way the divide plots in town giving this feeling of being at home. The porch connects all the rooms, providing a place in shadow with benches. A well in the middle of the courtyard will keep water from the rain season through filtration and canalization captured by the big roof.
