1.AMALGAMA CITY

DISPERSE Human scale, policentric cities, public space ... The aim of the project is to create a system able to adapt according with the needs of the time. Housing, retail, offices, education ... program packages are distributed it  in a randow way. There is no one center, we are seeking a policentric scheme where all the uses are interconected and not divided by a zonning tool.

2.PUBLIC SPACE

INTERCONNECTIVITY-REPETITION AND DIVERSITY Due the boundaries of the plot only accessible from 26th street, We thought about the public space in its entire area. Avoiding the classical definition of streets, buildings and public space as a 3 individual ingredients of the the urban frame, in here, the whole gorund floor became public, shaped by interconnected patios that creates a more human scale, and diversity of atmosphere through repetition.

3.INDUSTRIAL TISSUE

LEGACY - MEMORY and ESSENCE The plot, a remain of a manucturing zone next to the port. We wanted to remember the essence and create a system or language based on the elements and situations that can be found near by. The new CBD propose an image  based on repetition, horizontal/vertival, systematic, simplistic, addition, growing ... as a memory of the place, giving a new identity.

4. GROWTH

DINAMIC SYSTEM Its a industrial essence landscape. It s not a frozen image of the historic city, unchangeable. We propose a system base in very few rules that can provide with the possibility of growth. SCALE and DENSITY. The lodge create a public basement, several perimeters provide a interconected space. The volumens grow from this basement, able to get higher or longer, to complete the maximun ratio/ocupation.

6. RUINS

OLD FACTORIES There are 7 buildings to be preserve with different scale, materials or even contruction technics. A dialogue between old, and new and how to perform. Sometimes the builings will remain as a ruin/temple and we will frame it, using it only from the surroundings. Sometimes, we go inside and using the same limits of the brick walls, the new structure emerge in a simbosit after being emptied up, we occuied we the new structure in a symboitic relation.
