INTROVERTED AND ICONIC

Due the location and surroundings the building look to the inside. Avoiding noise from the highway or the factories nearby, the building appears like a massive piece of rock from the outside, protecting itself and becoming transparent in the inside. A spacious courtyard became the heart of the proposal, a new nature and landscape where offices and apartments are facing it.

TOGETHER

Instead of creating 2 different and separated building, dormitory and offices we look for a united image gaining scale and becoming an icon. Workers and offices coexist and share the space together, the new courtyard as a heart of the social life for all. The offices space and services, such as auditorium or cantina /coffee will be located in the ground floor being more accessible, leaving the 2-3 floor for the dormitory and CEO offices.

MATERIALITY

Stone. It is a factory where the stone is brought in big massive pieces and through different procedures are cut in different sizes. We wanted to reflect that image in the facade of the headquarters. That s why, the building present itself as big stones coming out from the ground. Different textures and finishes will be applied to the facade giving a rich image of materiality, changing with the sunlight and the rain.
