"NO FACADE" | SENSOR AWARENESS

The concept starts from the idea of working, studying and playing in a park. The plot of the competition is full of greenery, lush all directions. We tried to keep as much trees as possible, tracing soft lines on the terrain getting closer or taking distance, embracing or expanding.

These traces became a transparent surfaces, A VEIL sneaking between trees. Different gradients of transparency give slightly different perceptions depends on the activities that will be held inside.

Due the situation of the plot of the competition, a plot inside a block surrounding by buildings blocking views and natural light, We wanted to establish a eternal connection with the nature  and its season changes, as a background of any of the spaces proposed. So this no-facade became a sensor/filter itself transferring changes in the inner spaces.

TOGETHER BUT NOT MIX | FUNCTIONALITY

The Veil tried to create a fluid continuous space expanding and contracting dividing the volume in different centers always in visual contact.

Like glass pavilions, avoiding unnecessary walls or only 1 view window all departments count with at least 3 transparent elevations guaranteeing natural light and depth.

The entrance and the vertical core are located in the middle of the plan for easy accessibility to all spaces generating a sketch E-form, sometimes inverted, easy to understand for the users always in contact with the outside.

LANDSCAPE

Due the situation of the plot and the difficult entrance We decided set back the building and with concave and convex lines create a public square embraced by THE VEIL and the nature where parents can sit and relax while waiting for the kids to come out. Some functions like Hydrotherapy are located next to the public space creating visual contact of parents and children during activities.

A back inner courtyard, more private and secured, let kids play outside.
