20 Locations in Chengdu and one topic, the importance of community. We developed the maximun of 3 proposals permitted by organizers. 3 different approaches for 3 different situations, cultural life, social envirorment and morphological conditions.

THE CLUSTER. a polifucntional building for local goverment gatherings, events and mass activitties. We proposed a cluster, a lowscale building inspired by the small towns and comunities configuration near by. It is located in the countryside where local technics, materials and users differs from the city. We tried to create a frame for a social interaction. A landscape building, open to everyone, taking reference from the past and trying to enhance the public space.

THE BOILER. It s a small transformation of an old bolier room inside a community in Chnegdu. With a simple program of a cantine and polifunctional room we conqured the old structure where materialiy and lights played the important part.

TREE HOUSE. In a very interesting plot, a long stripe of urban orchads in the midle of Chengdu city. The new building should host a student and elderly activities. Decided to break the rules and gain scale. From 2 floors to 4 different atmospheres that expand themselves to the out door.
