PALM TREE PARADISE
HEALTH CENTER

We in the edge of Manacor town facing the ring road, a limit between the urban tissue and fields and mountains in the background. From the beginning we were thinking  to approach the building from an urban point of view, reducing the scale, the visual impact and provide with public spaces and gardens.

A patio typology. We occupied the whole plot according with the rules of the general plan and start to cut it, rotated and holed according with the functions required by the brief. A introverted building in the first floor where all the rooms are looking to patios full of palm trees and local tress while in the first floor the view goes to the far mountains.

These 2 patios have different grade of privacy. One more public go inside and create a hall square. A big opaque volume frames the entrance providing with shelter for the users. Another patio offers a more intimate feeling.

The inner space follows the brief but trying to avoid a one way along building, giving some spaces for rest looking to different parts of the environment.
