We are in the countryside Shangdong province. The Local goverment is thinking to create a cultural center for the eldelry where they can drink tea, play mahjong, see performance and an small office for consulting. A sauna will be add if possible.

The typology dominat in the urban tissue is the courtyard architecture. A fence create a perimeter where small volumes are being added by time to completation. A courtyard in the middle become the heart of the social life for the family. Stone walls and redtiles of the roofs create an image mandatory to follow.

An irregular building with a patio grow from the plot. Following the archetype but offering a more public building the perimeter is broken and the Patio became the lobby. Stone walls in the outside with small openings while the facade facing the patio became transparent. 

The public bath is separated and located in the corner providing with a small private alley.
