The plot for the hotel is located outside of the wall that carrying the function of protection the whole complex. The view in front is plain and the mountain is situated in the backside. The client wanted to build a small hotel, no more than 10 rooms for some tourists and believers who usually spend several days in the complex. Requirements include 10 rooms and hotel facilities such as reception, kitchen, meditation room, tea house and praying room.

My first proposal came immediately after visiting the place. On the place of a big gap, covered with long beam holding the rooms with patios, we could create an open space for hotel facilities. Unfortunately later we found a gas pipe going through the plot 2m deeper so we had to move the place.

The idea is following the same lines but now the building is split in 2 volumes connected on the ground floor. Concrete beams cover big distances liberating the space in the ground floor of any construction columns. Patios and moveable partitions satisfy the requirement  of the hotel with possible modifications in the future.
